Review: Soothe and Grow Shampoo and Conditioner | Alice England From the first wash I have seen a real difference

Review: Soothe and Grow Shampoo and Conditioner

Our Soothe and Grow Shampoo and Conditioner is infused with nettle for soothing the hair and scalp as well as rosemary for stimulating hair growth and a healthy scalp. In the summer months with all that time spent outside, our content writer, Bonnie put it to the test.

Perfect for thick hair

I have curly hair, and typically of curly hair, it’s predisposed to dryness. To further exacerbate it, I spend any spare time I have running in all elements and swimming in the sea. I am lazy when it comes to doing anything more than washing my hair and to compound it all, with all the lockdowns I cannot remember the last time I had it cut, so it’s fast approaching my waist in length.

When it comes to skin and hair care products I like to keep the routine simple but I also like the products to be as natural as possible (whilst still actually doing the job). In the past I have tried a lot of natural products only to find that they are too gentle to really clean thick hair or to get pollution off your skin. I knew Alice England’s products were a step up on other brands, but I hadn’t been prepared for them to go beyond the basic functions of shampoo and conditioner and to actually make a noticeable difference.

The results

Firstly, the products come in generously sized bottles, so you really feel as though you’re getting value for money. I have been using the shampoo and conditioner twice a week for over two months and they’re still going strong. Secondly, they’re enjoyable to use as well. The shampoo lathers to give you that reassurance, and the conditioner is easy to run through those tresses.

Most importantly however, from the first wash I have seen a real difference. Day one, it was simply a lot softer than it has been when using other brands. It didn’t feel weighed down by product either, it was light, clean and silky.

What’s been most lovely however, is that the benefits don’t seem to have subsided with use. My hair continues to feel healthier the more I use the shampoo and conditioner. I still haven’t been to get my hair cut, and I think the products are true to their word in that it does seem to be growing a little more. What’s certain is that it’s growing stronger and healthier, so I think the hairdresser can wait a little longer!
